He proved his dominance in the bollywood during 1970 to 1980. He is the oldest super star of bollywood who always keeps his presence at all major occasions of bollywood.</span><br /> <span style="font-size: small;">He is also known as angry young man of bollywood. He won three national film fare awards for best actor in which he was nominated over 39 times. Amitabh Bachchan also worked as producer, playback singer and television host. One of his greatest show on TV is Kaun Banega Crorepati.</span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: small;">His father Mr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a great poet one of his most popular poem is Madhushala and mother's name was Teji Bachchan who was a punjabi Sikh from faisalabad. Amitabh Bachchan was earlier known as Inquilab but later on Mr. Sumitranandan Pant  advised his parents to change his name as Amitabh. His other great successful movies were Abhiman, Namak Haram, Kunwara Baap, Roti Kapada aur Makan, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Don, Parvarish, Suhaag, Mr. Natwarlaal, Kaala Pathar, Sholay, Lawaris, Naseeb, Satte pe Satta, Bemishal, Coolie etc. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: small;">During the making of Coolie he was seriously injured by the corner of a table which caused him splenic rupture in his abdomen and he remained in emergency for several months in hospital.</span></div>
